IEEE PIMRC'14 CALL FOR WORKSHOPS
The IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC) conference is soliciting proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the IEEE PIMRC conference. Workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the conference venue in Washington, DC.
Workshop topics should be consistent with the topics and goals of the broader IEEE PIMRC conference. These topic areas broadly include "Fundamentals and Physical Layer", "MAC Layer and Cross-Layer Design", "Mobile and Wireless Networks", and "Services, Applications and Business". Within this broad scope, workshop proposals should address specific technical areas or emerging/hot topic areas. Successful workshop proposals will be for topics that are sufficiently differentiated from other conferences and symposia.
Each workshop must have at least two organizers from two different institutions.
Workshop proposals should be submitted, no later than April 15, 2014, via EDAS
Each workshop proposal must include:The name of the proposed workshop;
The names, addresses, and a short bio (up to 200 words) of the organizers;
A brief description (up to 1 page) of the technical issues that the workshop will address, and the reasons why the workshop is of interest at this time;
A brief discussion of related workshops and conferences in the proposed field and why the proposed workshop is unique;
The names of potential program committee members, and some consideration on the communities/groups it intends to attract;
The planned format of the workshop, including a strategy to facilitate lively and interactive discussions;
If applicable, a description of past versions of the workshop, including the number of submitted and accepted papers and number of attendees;
A description of the publicity plan;
A call for papers; and
The workshop website address.
