Kadir Has University is one of the most prominent private universities of Istanbul. The building of an old tobacco factory, going through a long restoration became an education center, dedicated to the well known businessman Kadir Has, by his Foundation. It is located at the old city overlooking the Golden Horn. Within the building there is also a museum where many art and artifacts are displayed. The participants may also wish to visit the museum and enjoy the exhibits placed on display at that time.
PIMRC 2010 CONFERENCE BANQUET at Adile Sultan Palace

Situated on the Asiatic side of the Bosphorus in Kandilli, Adile Sultan Palace which was built upon the order of Sultan Abdülmecit in the name of his sister in 1876, has been restored thanks to the donation made by the deceased businessman, Sakıp Sabancı after the great fire it suffered in 1986.
The Palace was reconstructed staying loyal to its original design reflecting the imperial grandeur. Its location is one of the most respectable and unique places in Istanbul for special events and meetings. It has halls with high, gold-foiled ceilings, with views to both Bosphorus bridges.
After pick up by bus you will be taken to the nearest boat landing for a special cruise on the Bosphorus. Enjoying your drinks you will disembark at the Asiatic side and be taken to Adile Sultan by a very short bus ride.
You will enjoy good wining and dining with the accompaniment of live music.
Adile Sultan (1825-1898) the daughter of Sultan Mahmut II., was one of the most interesting women in the history of the Ottoman Empire. Having received a very good education, she wrote a “divan” (collection of poems), witnessed the reign of five emperors and did charity work throughout her life, which lasted almost a century. Adile Sultan was the only women who wrote a divan from the Ottoman dynasty.

Please purchase tickets in advance with your PIMRC 2010 registration for spouses or if you have made limited registrations. Tickets will also be available during on-site registration as long as space is still available.
